MANIAC is a brand whose history began in 2005 with the founding of the MANIAC Footbag Team in Krakow, a sports club dedicated to training and promoting footbag net (a competitive form of foot volleyball) and footbag freestyle (a professional version of the popular Polish "zośka").
MANIAC athletes have won numerous World, European, and Polish Championship titles in various footbag disciplines, and have also skillfully promoted physical education and niche competitive sports at numerous festivals, events, shows, and by conducting workshops across Poland. At the same time, the first online store, "MANIACki Sklepik!", was launched. From the outset, a large portion of profits were allocated to the development of the club and niche sports, and in 2014, the store evolved into a store representing the entire footbag community in Poland, operating at footbag.pl and footbag.com.pl. Also in 2014, the decision was made to open a brick-and-mortar store in Krakow, offering accessories for competitive niche sports, in the former Forum Hotel building, next to Forum Przestrzenie. However, it quickly became clear that we needed more space, and in December 2014, a new location was opened at Bożego Ciała 24, known as BC24, which operated there until 2026.
